It's hard to find it out in CA. Not that it doesn't get cold, but in the Bay Area there aren't that many leaves that change color, and I miss that. We went to Purisima Creek in Half Moon Bay to find some colored leaves, damp cool air and tall redwoods. There is nowhere that helps me breathe more deeply. You should go.
